The Sinepuxent Group
Meet Ryan
I’m Ryan Mete (pronounced like “machete”), founder of The Sinepuxent Group, and a fractional CTO with a background in operational leadership, product delivery, systems architecture, and software engineering. My core focus is helping companies make better technical decisions under real business pressure.
I work with startups and growth-stage companies that need senior technology leadership, but don’t want the overhead of a full-time CTO. In some cases, that means helping a company launch on the right footing. In others, it means stepping into a product that is already under strain and bringing order to architecture, delivery, and engineering execution. My role is not to add ceremony or consultant theater. It is to bring clarity, technical judgment, and forward momentum where it matters most.
I’ve worked across industries including workforce and case management systems, sports technology, field service and point-of-sale platforms, and government-facing software environments where security, reliability, compliance, and execution discipline matter. That range has made me especially effective in situations where a company needs more than development horsepower; it needs someone who can assess risk, make sound decisions quickly, and lead technical execution with business goals in mind.
Since 2010, I’ve led complex software initiatives across mobile, web, cloud, and enterprise environments for commercial and government organizations. My experience includes product rescue engagements, performance optimization, architecture modernization, engineering process improvement, and hands-on leadership through high-pressure growth stages.

Technology leadership for companies that need to move fast with confidence.
How I help founders
Founders typically call me for one of two reasons:
-
To build on strong footing from the start, with the right technical strategy, architecture, and engineering leadership in place.
-
To stabilize a product that is already showing signs of strain, where delivery is slowing down, technical debt is mounting, performance is slipping, and the team needs experienced leadership before the situation becomes expensive.
I help in both cases. I’m not a passive advisor. I work at the intersection of strategy and execution. That means I help define technical direction at the leadership level while also getting into the details when necessary: reviewing your architecture, guiding product and engineering decisions, improving team workflows, untangling delivery bottlenecks, and helping you make smart tradeoffs as your company grows.
My approach is straightforward: build what matters, fix what is slowing your business down, and create systems that can support your growth without collapsing under it.
