Federal Contracting in the

DC Metro Area

Most positions with Sinepuxent Group allow partial remote work with onsite reporting requirements in Washington, D.C.  We recruit junior and mid-level developers, software testers, and senior software engineers on a rolling basis for work on federal contracts.  Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States, resident in the United States for at least three years, and able to qualify for a Public Trust security clearance.  The Sinepuxent Group is not able to sponsor visas.  Please inquire by emailing a resume to admin@sinepuxentgroup.com.

MIDLEVEL SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

Remote with ability to work on-site in Washington, D.C. metro area 5-6 times per year

Years of Experience: 5 years - 10 years

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or other engineering or technical discipline is required.

 

Program Description: Create an end-to-end management perspective to ensure proper compliance and oversight of a U.S. government project, and the use of data and business intelligence to monitor and measure outcomes.

 

Position Description: A developer must have experience in analyzing customer needs and developing overall concept and design objectives. The developer must be able to create software in a variety of programming and for a variety of IT software applications. Must have experience in debugging and correcting errors in computer programs.

 

Required Skills:

  • Java

  • Spring framework concepts, Spring boot

  • REST, SOAP web services

  • Authentication mechanisms (SAML, OAuth)

  • multi-threading (concurrency)

  • JMS, Schedulers, workflow engines, redHat Process Automation Manager, RPA (blueprism)

  • Git, maven, CI/CD, Red Hat

  • hibernate, Oracle and Postgres databases

  • Jmeter, unit, functional testing.

  • Agile development experience

  • Review and integrate technical and application architecture requirements.

  • Docker, orchestration using Kubernetes

  • AWS Cloud, Apache Kafka

  • Logging aggregators like (EFK or ELK)

  • Splunk, SonarQube, Jmeter

  • Docmosis or iText

 

Preferred Skills

  • Experience containerization of Springboot microservices

  • Experience/Knowledge in EFK, Kakfa, AWS Cloud, JBPM.

  • Experience working with docker containers

  • Experience with ODM (for Rules team)

 

Responsibilities:

  • This individual has technical knowledge and responsibility of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming and understands the business or function for which application is designed.

  • The Programmer may write programs according to specifications, which may be provided by Engineers, technical architects, or other computer scientists.

  • Update, repair, modify and expand existing computer programs.

  • Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging

  • Write clean code to develop functional web applications

  • Troubleshoot and debug applications

  • Perform UI tests to optimize performance

  • Manage cutting-edge technologies to improve legacy applications

  • Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server side logic

  • Gather and address technical and design requirements

  • Provide training and support to internal teams

  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use

  • Liaise with developers, designers and system administrators to identify new features

SENIOR DEV OPS ENGINEER

TEST AUTOMATION ENGINEER

Remote with ability to work on-site in Washington, D.C. metro area 5-6 times per year

Years of Experience: 3 years test automation experience required


Work Location:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or other engineering or technical discipline is required

 

Program Description: Create an end-to-end management perspective to ensure proper compliance and oversight of federal programs, and the use of data and business intelligence to monitor and measure outcomes for a United States government client.

 

Position Description: A Test Engineer must have experience in the coordination and execution of test events in accordance with approved test plans, procedures and scripts. Must have knowledge and skills to ensure that test environments are set up accurately. Must be able to create test reports. The test engineer must be able to test IT hardware, software, systems and networks.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Testers use automation to deliver validations and have 3+ years of experience delivering test scripts, test cases and test plans that are in alignment with Business-Driven Development/Test Driven Development (BDD/TDD)

  • Work as part of an integrated team of analysts, software engineers, and test engineers

  • Define functional, integration, performance, and security test activities

  • Create test harnesses based on user and system requirements

  • Create test cases and review peers’ test cases

  • Develop software (scripts) that automate the execution of test cases/procedures

  • Integrate test reports with application lifecycle management tools such as Rational Team Concert (RTC)

  • Integrate automated testing tools with a CI Server such as Jenkins

  • Develop methods to perform automated regression testing as new code is being written

 

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years of test case automation

  • Selenium

  • Java, Ruby, or Javascript programming languages (Java is ideal)

  • Database testing

  • 508 testing

  • REST API testing

  • JIRA (or other project management software)

  • Mobile app testing

  • Katalon or other codeless automation tools

  • Salesforce

Preferred Skills

  • Defect management

  • Agile or SAFe software development environment
